Es una forma de deporte basado en el patinaje sobre ruedas formado alrededor de una pista oval. El roller derby contempor\u00e1neo es internacional, predominantemente femenino, practicado normalmente por aficionados, que crea un gran v\u00ednculo \u00e9tico hacia s\u00ed mismo, pues se necesita de un buen trabajo en equipo, y de una gran inteligencia para poder llevar a cabo las estrategias en el juego. El patinaje es considerado uno de los deportes m\u00e1s completos, pues te da fuerza, flexibilidad, resistencia y agilidad. El Team Spain Roller Derby comenz\u00f3 su andadura en junio de 2013 a trav\u00e9s de la iniciativa de las propias jugadoras espa\u00f1olas de crear una selecci\u00f3n con la que competir internacionalmente y escribir el nombre de Espa\u00f1a en la historia del Roller Derby.
