Y es que, de la mano de la Sociedad Cooperativa Cumbres de Abona, con su presidente <strong>Manuel Marrero Reyes<\/strong> al frente, hoy ya podemos decir con todo el derecho del mundo <em>\u201ctinerfe\u00f1os de Abona, aceituneros altivos, decidme en el alma \u00bfqui\u00e9n levant\u00f3 los olivos?\u201d<\/em>. Tras unos d\u00edas de intenso trabajo, los trabajadores de la divisi\u00f3n aceitera de Cumbres de Abona, han finalizado de forma muy satisfactoria la recogida de aceituna para la elaboraci\u00f3n de su ya reconocido aceite de oliva virgen extra, OleoTeide, premiado con la Gran Oliva de Oro en el I Concurso de Aceites de Oliva Virgen convocado por el Cabildo de Tenerife en 2015. <strong>Manuel Marrero<\/strong>, ha valorado la recogida de la oliva como satisfactoria y rentable pues, a pesar de no haber sido uno de los mejores a\u00f1os, se ha calculado de media unos 60 kg. de aceitunas por \u00e1rbol, en olivos de tan solo diez a\u00f1os. Pero tambi\u00e9n <strong>Manuel Marrero<\/strong>, en su condici\u00f3n de presidente de la Cooperativa Cumbres de Abona, manifest\u00f3 que los agricultores del sur de Tenerife demandan m\u00e1s agua y en mejores condiciones de precio y calidad para fomentar el desarrollo de esta nueva producci\u00f3n olivarera de nuestra isla, y reclama a las instituciones p\u00fablicas responsables y a las autoridades que las regentan una mayor implicaci\u00f3n y apuesta por el sector aceitero tinerfe\u00f1o.
