Un a\u00f1o m\u00e1s les recuerdo que en Tenerife existe una \u201centidad\u201d \u00fanica en Canarias. Se llama \u201cLa Macana\u201d y acaba de cumplir 86 a\u00f1os de vida. No tienen acta fundacional, ni n\u00famero en el registro de asociaciones, no tienen CIF, ni reglamentos, ni estatutos. S\u00f3lo un anfitri\u00f3n cada a\u00f1o al que llaman \u201cel Macana\u201d y que tiene la \u00fanica obligaci\u00f3n de invitar a comer una vez al a\u00f1o al resto de componentes de la curiosa entidad. La fund\u00f3 el a\u00f1o 1930 en la Parroquia Matriz de Nuestra Se\u00f1ora de la Concepci\u00f3n de La Laguna el presb\u00edtero Manuel Pacheco<\/strong>, conjuntamente con el sacrist\u00e1n Juan Marrero Marrero<\/strong>, en torno al d\u00eda de Santa Cecilia (22 de noviembre) patrona de la M\u00fasica. El irrepetible Juan Marrero<\/strong> invitaba al coro que iba a cantar la misa especial de aquel se\u00f1alado y musical d\u00eda, a un convite en la parte trasera de la iglesia. Un rinc\u00f3n de la iglesia cuya puerta se cerraba con una \u201cmacana\u201d hecha con madera de barbusano, que tiene m\u00e1s de cien a\u00f1os y que se conserva con absoluto mimo. Juntos tras la misa agradec\u00edan gastron\u00f3micamente al coro su interpretaci\u00f3n y, de paso, entonaban m\u00e1s canciones en honor a Santa Cecilia.<\/p>\n
