Lamentablemente no todo suelen ser buenas noticias y lamentablemente hoy debo comunicarles que, esta pasada Nochebuena, falleci\u00f3 en el hospital San Juan de Dios, falleci\u00f3 Eulogio Antonio Hern\u00e1ndez Arvelo<\/strong>, popularmente m\u00e1s conocido, querido y respetado como \u201cEl Sargento Antonio\u201d o bien Antonio \u201cEl Sargento\u201d quien fuera durante a\u00f1os el m\u00e1ximo responsable de la Polic\u00eda Local de La Laguna, aunque conocido en toda Tenerife y Canarias. Antonio Hern\u00e1ndez, nacido en La Laguna en 1929 presum\u00eda (con todo merecimiento) de haber sido uno de los fundadores de la Agrupaci\u00f3n Folcl\u00f3rica Hesp\u00e9rides, esclavo del Cristo de La Laguna y miembro de la Hermandad de Caballeros del Padre Anchieta. Durante algunos a\u00f1os fue concejal en el propio ayuntamiento lagunero. La capilla ardiente con sus restos mortales est\u00e1 instalada en la Sala 8 del tanatorio Servisa (junto a antes Ikea) donde ma\u00f1ana, a las 11:15 se celebrar\u00e1n sus honras f\u00fanebres. Vaya desde aqu\u00ed mi sincero mensaje de condolencia a su viuda, Grecia Delgado<\/strong>, junto a sus hijos Alicia, Juan Antonio, Candelaria y Sonia Hern\u00e1ndez Delgado<\/strong>, y dem\u00e1s familiares y amigos. Sin duda, el bueno del sargento Antonio fue un magn\u00edfico profesional, un ejemplo de lo que debe ser y hacer un polic\u00eda local, un gran padre de familia y, sobre todo una bell\u00edsima persona. L\u00e1stima que no haya podido estar presente en el acto de colocaci\u00f3n de la placa que dar\u00e1 su nombre a una plaza lagunera. Descanse en paz nuestro Sargento Antonio.<\/strong><\/p>\n
