{"id":3797,"date":"2017-02-19T11:01:59","date_gmt":"2017-02-19T11:01:59","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/elcotarro.com\/?p=3797"},"modified":"2017-02-19T10:44:49","modified_gmt":"2017-02-19T10:44:49","slug":"pepe-damaso-protagonista-de-lujo","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/elcotarro.com\/?p=3797","title":{"rendered":"PEPE D\u00c1MASO, PROTAGONISTA DE LUJO"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>En una nueva edici\u00f3n de estos di\u00e1logos, la Real Academia Canaria de Bellas Artes que preside <strong>Rosario \u00c1lvarez Mart\u00ednez,<\/strong> eligi\u00f3 como protagonista al no menos incombustible y gran <strong>Pepe D\u00e1maso<\/strong> (Agaete, 1933), inmenso artista grancanario del que, en estos momentos, se est\u00e1 presentando y exponiendo en la primera planta del Hotel Bot\u00e1nico una serie de obras \u00edntimamente relacionadas con la naturaleza y la vida salvaje. Con sus casi 84 a\u00f1os de edad y delicada salud, el gran <strong>Pepe D\u00e1maso<\/strong> sigue siendo un vitalista joven, con esp\u00edritu positivo y todo un ejemplo de lo que es un artista canario con may\u00fasculas. Un influyente creador que recientemente ha donado m\u00e1s de 6.000 obras al Gobierno de Canarias. Tras recibir en 2015 un premio al mecenazgo de la Real Academia Canaria de Bellas Artes, <strong>Wolfgang Kiessling<\/strong> pens\u00f3 que hab\u00eda que abrir una v\u00eda de di\u00e1logo entre los artistas vivos y la sociedad, una iniciativa que desde la empresa privada no se hab\u00eda acometido antes en Canarias.
