El propio <strong>Benito<\/strong> (cosa que le honra) reconoci\u00f3 que el pueblo no ha terminado de hacer suyo este himno. Por el contrario, qued\u00f3 m\u00e1s que claro (nuevamente) que el pasodoble Islas Canarias, con partitura del maestro <strong>Jos\u00e9 Mar\u00eda Tarridas<\/strong>, y letra original de <strong>Joan Picot<\/strong> sigue siendo nuestro \u201chimno oficioso\u201d y que, all\u00e1 donde suena, a los canarios se nos pone la carne de gallina, los pelos de punta y, a poco que estemos lejos de aqu\u00ed, la lagrima en el ojo.
