La asociaci\u00f3n tiene como presidente, a la vez que \u201calma mater\u201d y \u201calma p\u00e1ter\u201d, al incombustible <strong>Carmelo Gonz\u00e1lez Acosta<\/strong>, l\u00edder indiscutible y persona apreciada por todos. Con motivo del 25 aniversario y en un emotivo acto celebrado el pasado viernes en la sede de la Presidencia del Gobierno de Canarias en Santa Cruz de Tenerife, el propio y emocionado <strong>Carmelo Gonz\u00e1lez<\/strong> entreg\u00f3 la medalla y sello de honor de la asociaci\u00f3n a quienes han ostentado el cargo de viceconsejeros de Acci\u00f3n Exterior en los \u00faltimos a\u00f1os. O sea, <strong>Efra\u00edn Medina Hern\u00e1ndez, C\u00e1ndido Padr\u00f3n Padr\u00f3n <\/strong>y <strong>Pedro Rodr\u00edguez Zaragoza<\/strong>. Asimismo, se le entreg\u00f3 a <strong>Raquel Albertos Marrero<\/strong>, la diligente funcionaria que durante a\u00f1os ha estado en la secretar\u00eda de la viceconsejer\u00eda. El primero de ellos, <strong>Efra\u00edn Medina<\/strong>, desvel\u00f3 que en su primera etapa pol\u00edtica se trajo de Cuba un mu\u00f1eco de trapo llamado \u201cPanchito\u201d que, seg\u00fan \u00e9l, es el que le ha dado suerte en toda su trayectoria y que hoy se la est\u00e1 dando a su sobrina-nieta, <strong>Luc\u00eda<\/strong>.
