De vuelta a los Estados Unidos decidi\u00f3 crear la revista \u201cThe Wine Advocate\u201d como gu\u00eda para el consumidor medio, que por aquel entonces ten\u00eda una escasa cultura sobre el tema, y lo hizo con un sencillo sistema basado en puntuaciones de 0 a 100. El a\u00f1o 1982, <strong>Robert Parker<\/strong> desafi\u00f3 a la \u00e9lite de la cr\u00edtica mundial, al contradecirlos asegurando que los vinos de Burdeos que saldr\u00edan un a\u00f1o despu\u00e9s al mercado, y que a\u00fan estaban en barrica ser\u00edan excelentes. Todos los cr\u00edticos dieron bajas puntuaciones, sin embargo, <strong>Parker<\/strong> mantuvo su vaticinio, que 12 meses despu\u00e9s resultar\u00eda ser cierto.
