{"id":5067,"date":"2018-02-04T11:02:47","date_gmt":"2018-02-04T11:02:47","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/elcotarro.com\/?p=5067"},"modified":"2018-02-03T13:49:37","modified_gmt":"2018-02-03T13:49:37","slug":"pacientes-abandonados-por-familias","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/elcotarro.com\/?p=5067","title":{"rendered":"PACIENTES ABANDONADOS POR FAMILIAS"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Aunque parezca mentira y produzca verg\u00fcenza reconocerlo y tristeza decirlo, muchos pacientes que no deber\u00edan estar ocupando cama del Servicio Canario de la Salud en el HUC o en el hospital \u201cLa Candelaria\u201d (HUNSC), la est\u00e1n ocupando porque no hay centros alternativos, como hospitales de cr\u00f3nicos, porque a la consejer\u00eda de Empleo, Pol\u00edticas Sociales y Vivienda del Gobierno de Canarias, que hoy regenta <b>Cristina Valido Garc\u00eda<\/b>, le faltan centros geri\u00e1tricos p\u00fablicos como los que regenta en Tenerife el Instituto de Asistencia Social y Sociosanitaria (IASS), que depende del Cabildo y actualmente gerencia <b>Juana Mar\u00eda Reyes Meli\u00e1n<\/b> (antes directora del SCS).\u00a0 A esta realidad hay que sumar otra m\u00e1s grave y triste. Incomprensiblemente, en muchos casos se ha perdido el afecto y la responsabilidad de las propias familias de las personas enfermas. Lamentablemente, muchas familias canarias, porque no pueden (o simple y tristemente porque \u201cno quieren\u201d) personas ingresadas (sobre todo mayores) son sencillamente \u201cabandonados\u201d en los grandes hospitales canarios de referencia. Hace poco una ciudadana extranjera de bastante edad y con hemiplejia, sola y aparentemente sin familia, estuvo casi \u00a1seis meses! ocupando cama en el servicio de Urgencias del HUC, hasta que se le pudo conseguir plaza en un centro de mayores.
