El pasado jueves, d\u00eda en el que se presentaron las jornadas a la Prensa Gastron\u00f3mica de la isla, nos enteramos de que, precisamente ese mismo d\u00eda, El Corte Ingl\u00e9s de Tres de Mayo, que actualmente dirige con acierto el lagunero <b>\u00c1lvaro Garc\u00eda Rojas<\/b>, cumpl\u00eda sus primeros 18 a\u00f1os y entraba de forma exitosa en la \u201cmayor\u00eda de edad\u201d. El 17 de octubre del a\u00f1o 2001 (\u00a1parece que fue ayer!) el centro abr\u00eda sus puertas teniendo como director al recordado y respetado <b>Vicente G\u00f3mez Carrero<\/b>, que todav\u00eda hoy sigue viviendo en Tenerife. Tambi\u00e9n cumpli\u00f3 18 a\u00f1os en \u201cla casa\u201d el amigo <b>Alfredo Medina Moreno<\/b>, eficiente director de Comunicaci\u00f3n y Relaciones Institucionales de El Corte Ingl\u00e9s en Tenerife, al que, por cierto, y por un d\u00eda, vimos con el escudo de Casa Duque en su solapa. Y es que, el bueno de <b>Alfredo Medina<\/b> (que se sabe de memoria las palabras del ritual del corte del cochinillo) ha sido nombrado virtualmente <i>\u201cMaestro Asador de Castilla\u201d<\/i>. Se lo merece. Felicidades a toda la gran familia de El Corte Ingl\u00e9s en Tenerife y a por otros 18 a\u00f1os.
