Esa gran y necesaria obra servir\u00eda para que, por encima, en la superficie, discurriera una gran avenida, la denominada \u201cRambla de La Laguna (en tiempo de <strong>Elfidio Alonso<\/strong> y <strong>Ani Oramas<\/strong> tambi\u00e9n se le llam\u00f3 Rambla del Quinto Centenario). Las calles de uno y otro lado de La Laguna cruzar\u00edan sin problema la Rambla (como en Santa Cruz o la avenida Pr\u00edncipes de Espa\u00f1a, en Ofra) y hasta por el centro de la misma podr\u00eda transcurrir, sin mayores problemas, el tan cacareado tramo del tranv\u00eda. Y Ahora la pelota est\u00e1 en manos del consejero insular <strong>Enrique Arriaga<\/strong> y el nuevo director insular de carreteras, <strong>Tom\u00e1s F\u00e9lix Garc\u00eda<\/strong>.
