Y hasta viv\u00ed desde dentro el refer\u00e9ndum de 1976 sobre el Proyecto de Ley para la Reforma Pol\u00edtica. En 1977 colabor\u00e9 y particip\u00e9 activamente en las primeras elecciones generales de Espa\u00f1a, para elegir a los miembros que iban a constituir las Cortes Generales (Congreso de los Diputados y Senado).\u00a0Fueron unos comicios de car\u00e1cter hist\u00f3rico, ya que constituyeron las primeras elecciones libres que se celebraban en el pa\u00eds desde la Segunda Rep\u00fablica y tambi\u00e9n las primeras elecciones libres tras la dictadura de <strong>Francisco Franco<\/strong>. Gan\u00f3 la Uni\u00f3n de Centro Democr\u00e1tico (UCD) con <strong>Adolfo Su\u00e1rez<\/strong>, pero ya el Partido Socialista, con, <strong>Felipe Gonz\u00e1lez<\/strong> como l\u00edder, dio la sorpresa y se convirti\u00f3 en la segunda fuerza pol\u00edtica con 120 esca\u00f1os. Mi paso por la pol\u00edtica en Juventudes termin\u00f3 el a\u00f1o 1978 tras la tambi\u00e9n hist\u00f3rica votaci\u00f3n del refer\u00e9ndum para la ratificaci\u00f3n del Proyecto de Constituci\u00f3n.
