Hace unos d\u00edas, en un acto promovido y organizado conjuntamente por la Jefatura del Mando de Canarias y la APT, se desarroll\u00f3 en el Palacio de Capitan\u00eda, una importante conferencia-exposici\u00f3n donde se expusieron las actividades del Ej\u00e9rcito de Tierra durante la Operaci\u00f3n \u201cBalmis\u201d, de la que el propio general <strong>Carlos Palacios Zaforteza<\/strong> fue su m\u00e1ximo responsable. La Operaci\u00f3n Balmis ha sido una brillante y efectiva misi\u00f3n que se activ\u00f3 el 14 de marzo, en principio coordin\u00e1ndose para toda Espa\u00f1a desde el Cuartel General del Ej\u00e9rcito de Tierra, en Madrid, y termin\u00f3 el 20 de junio, con la coordinaci\u00f3n desde la sede de nuestra Capitan\u00eda General de Canarias, en la tinerfe\u00f1a Plaza Weyler.
