{"id":9327,"date":"2021-01-10T07:56:50","date_gmt":"2021-01-10T07:56:50","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/elcotarro.com\/?p=9327"},"modified":"2021-01-09T19:34:31","modified_gmt":"2021-01-09T19:34:31","slug":"el-nacimiento-y-crecimiento-de-santa-rita","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/elcotarro.com\/?p=9327","title":{"rendered":"EL NACIMIENTO Y CRECIMIENTO DE SANTA RITA"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Un humilde y campechano sacerdote de pueblo, el <strong>Padre Antonio Hern\u00e1ndez<\/strong>, por aquel tiempo cura-p\u00e1rroco de la parroquia de <strong>Santa Rita de Casia<\/strong>, en el portuense barrio de Punta Brava, se dio cuenta de la necesidad de atender a una serie de personas mayores necesitadas y, como en todo el norte no hab\u00eda asilos de ancianos desamparados (como si exist\u00edan y prestaban una labor inestimable en Santa Cruz y La Laguna), decidi\u00f3, con una voluntad, empe\u00f1o y trabajo encomiables, crear una residencia que se ocupara de ellos y de los que, por aquel entonces, debutaban con la desconocida enfermedad de Alzheimer. El <strong>Padre Antonio<\/strong> hizo realidad su residencia Hogar <strong>Santa Rita<\/strong> el a\u00f1o 1981, la cual fue inaugurada por el obispo <strong>Luis Franco Casc\u00f3n<\/strong>. A partir de aquel momento (Hay que decirlo y recordarlo) muchas personas de fuera del Puerto de la Cruz fueron acogidas en <strong>Santa Rita,<\/strong> y muchos alcaldes (sobre todo del norte) vieron \u201clos cielos abiertos\u201d y, aportando algunas perritas, lograron que el <strong>Padre Antonio<\/strong> acogiera en <strong>Santa Rita<\/strong> a los vecinos de otros municipios que no ten\u00edan residencias y\/o \u201cpasaban\u201d de tenerlas.
