Es un excelente jugador de domin\u00f3 (junto con su leal compa\u00f1ero de equipo <strong>Jos\u00e9 Luis Gonz\u00e1lez Esquivel<\/strong>, la intuici\u00f3n frente a la ciencia) y, por si fuera poco, tambi\u00e9n es un gran viticultor y bodeguero, \u201calma p\u00e1ter\u201d de la bodega <em>\u201cSe\u00f1or\u00edo de Mach\u00edn\u201d<\/em>. Han sido casi 50 a\u00f1os de vivencias juntos, donde, repito, <strong>Mat\u00edas<\/strong>compagin\u00f3 el estudio de las Matem\u00e1ticas con todo lo dem\u00e1s. Y desde nuestra Universidad de La Laguna, <strong>Mat\u00edas Camacho\u00a0<\/strong>est\u00e1 haciendo un claro llamamiento al estudio y a la investigaci\u00f3n. En la entrevista que les digo, <strong>Mat\u00edas\u00a0<\/strong>afirma que: <em>\u201csiempre he pretendido que mis estudiantes de los diferentes niveles y estudios, especialmente los futuros profesores de Matem\u00e1ticas, vean lo importante que debe ser el mostrar que las matem\u00e1ticas pueden ser una materia viva y din\u00e1mica. El profesorado deber\u00e1 ser capaz de que sus estudiantes redescubran propiedades y relaciones matem\u00e1ticas, mediante razonamientos l\u00f3gicos y coherentes\u201d<\/em>.
